Content creator and TikTok star Baba Talisha has shared his disbelief after discovering that his stolen iPhone 15 Pro Max, taken in Ngong town, was later tracked all the way to Uganda.
In a detailed Instagram post on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, he narrated the events following the theft, describing the frustrations, helplessness, and disappointment he faced while trying to recover the phone.
According to Talisha, the incident began on Monday, November 10, 2025, when he received an email on his MacBook alerting him that his lost iPhone had been detected in Ngong town. The phone stayed in that area for nearly seven hours before his iCloud account was unexpectedly signed out, cutting off live tracking.
He quickly informed a few friends who had offered to help locate it, but before any action could be taken, the device began moving again. Later that night, around 11 p.m., Talisha checked its location once more and saw that it was heading toward Kisumu, passing through Ahero. From the movement pattern, he strongly suspected the phone was being transported to Uganda.
“Actually, the phones get transported in a bus because I could tell it stopped at a place for about 20 minutes, like long-distance buses normally do,” he explained.
What Did Baba Talisha Say About Police Response?
Talisha expressed deep disappointment with how the situation was handled by authorities, saying that despite sharing the exact coordinates of the device while it was still in Ngong, no meaningful action was taken.
“I got really disappointed, especially since I had told them where the phones were before they left Ngong town,” he said.
The content creator used his experience to caution fans to stay alert at public events. He revealed that organized phone thieves often buy tickets early to blend in with crowds and steal multiple devices undetected.
“Be aware,” he urged. “Hivyo ndivyo simu zangu zimeenda na kuvuka border. I think there is no other hope after that…. Everything that happens always has a better cause. But the setback is so huge and devastating. All the work is gone.”
