TikToker Vincent Kaluma, widely known as Kaluma Boy, has spoken out after his house was broken into while he was away upcountry for the Christmas holidays. In a video shared on his TikTok page on Monday, December 29, 2025, the content creator described returning home to a shocking scene that turned a festive break into a distressing experience.
Kaluma Boy explained that he had travelled upcountry to spend Christmas and only returned to his house later in the evening. When he arrived at around 9 pm, he immediately realised something was wrong. His home had been broken into, and several personal belongings were missing.
“It is a sad evening. I had travelled upcountry for Christmas, and I have just come back. It is now around 9pm, and I found that my house had been broken into. I do not know who was behind it, but valuable items were stolen,” Kaluma shared.
According to him, the robbery was extensive and appeared carefully executed. He said the thieves did not target specific items but took almost everything of value inside the house. Clothes, blankets, shoes, and other personal belongings were all stolen, leaving the house largely empty and disorganised.
“I was robbed of clothes, blankets, shoes and many other items, which is very disrespectful. Even the kitchen was not spared,” he said.
Kaluma Boy added that the kitchen was also ransacked, a detail that made the incident even more upsetting. Cooking utensils and basic household items were taken, something he described as deeply disturbing given their everyday importance.
“Cooking wares, including sufurias, were stolen. That is so bad, jameni,” he added.
As he continued to assess the damage, Kaluma Boy noticed details that raised serious concerns about how the robbery had been carried out and who might be responsible.
Why does Kaluma Boy believe the thief knew his movements?
One of the most alarming discoveries, according to Kaluma Boy, was the condition of his front door. He explained that the original padlock was missing, forcing him to enter the house through the back door. Once inside, he realised that the thief had installed a different padlock on the front door, effectively locking him out of his own home.
“When you check my front door, there is no padlock. I entered the house using the back door and realised that the thief added his own padlock. This means it is someone who knows me very well. He knew I was upcountry,” he said.
This detail led him to suspect that the person responsible may be someone familiar with his routine and movements. He believes the robber knew he was away for the holidays and took advantage of his absence to carry out the break-in without interruption.
Kaluma Boy further suggested that the theft may not have been intended as a one-time incident. He explained that the replacement padlock and the condition of the door indicated a possible plan to return and steal even more items.
“It seems he wanted to come back for another round and steal more items. Even now, as you can see, my key is not working, and it is very sad,” he shared.
The incident has sparked conversations online about security, trust, and the risks that come with being away from home for extended periods. Fans and fellow creators have since sent messages of support, urging him to stay strong as he deals with the aftermath.
While Kaluma Boy did not immediately share details about police involvement, his statement made it clear that the emotional impact of the robbery runs deep. The experience has left him shaken, reflective, and determined to raise awareness about personal safety during holiday travel.
