Kenyan marathon icon Eliud Kipchoge has been celebrated at Nike’s World Headquarters in Oregon, United States, where he proudly posed beside his newly unveiled life-size statue. The moment marked yet another milestone in the legendary runner’s storied career, as the Nike family paid tribute to his extraordinary impact on global athletics.

The event, held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the PHK (Phil Knight) campus, also featured the first-ever Eliud Kipchoge PHK 5K run, bringing together runners and Nike teammates to honor the two-time Olympic champion and marathon world record holder.

“A special day on PHK campus with my Nike family. From inspiring conversations to incredible interactions with running teammates to the first-ever Eliud Kipchoge PHK 5K. Thank you, Nike,” Kipchoge shared after the celebration.

What Is Next for Eliud Kipchoge After the Nike Honour?

Just days before the statue unveiling, the 41-year-old athlete announced his new global running challenge: competing in seven marathons across seven continents. Kipchoge described this as his boldest and most exciting dream yet.

“I have dreamed of running the biggest marathons of the world. But now, I am about to start my biggest adventure. A new dream. Seven marathons. On all seven continents. Together with you. Join me on this adventure. Because together we make this world a running one,” he announced.

This declaration came shortly after his appearance at the New York Marathon, where he finished 17th with a time of 2:14:36. Despite the placement, the race marked a major personal milestone, as it completed his journey to becoming a Six Star Finisher, an achievement earned by running all six of the World Marathon Majors: Boston, Chicago, Berlin, Tokyo, Sydney, and New York.

How Does Kipchoge Reflect on His Journey and Legacy?

Kipchoge remains deeply reflective about his achievements, especially his historic sub-two-hour marathon during the INEOS Challenge. He continues to inspire millions by reminding them that determination can push human limits.

“Ever since I was a little boy, I fell in love with the feeling of freedom that running gave me. Watching the champions who came before me made me dream of inspiring the world myself. I was determined to break through the barriers to prove that limits don’t exist,” he said.

Reflecting on his latest race, Kipchoge expressed gratitude and joy for the experience. “To become a Six-Star Finisher in New York City is a beautiful achievement. I fully enjoyed running in the streets today, hearing so much cheering and seeing so much passion. I remain grateful, motivated and inspired by this incredible city,” he shared.

From breaking barriers to inspiring generations, Eliud Kipchoge’s journey continues to redefine what’s possible in the world of athletics, proving that true greatness is measured not only in records but in resilience, purpose, and the power to inspire.
