Prophet David Owuor’s official Facebook page was hacked, leaving members of the Repentance and Holiness Ministry stunned and sparking heated reactions online. The account, which has more than 178,000 followers, displayed unusual activity after its profile photo was changed to an unrelated image from the action film Mad Max: Fury Road (2015).
The new avatar shows a dystopian desert scene with a man on a skull-decorated motorcycle alongside a woman with a mechanical arm, while massive armored trucks explode in the background. The stark contrast to Owuor’s well-known image of flowing white robes and large healing crusades quickly set off alarms among his supporters.

How Did Followers React to Prophet Owuor’s Hacked Page?
Screenshots shared widely online revealed loyal followers cautioning each other against interacting with suspicious posts. Many denounced the breach as spiritual warfare, with one writing, “Why fear the wind when the roots are deeper?” Another supporter commented, “On a day of reception from a mighty mission, the devil is also working this hard.” TNX Africa confirmed the page had indeed been compromised, urging caution.
Who Is Prophet David Owuor?
Prophet Dr. David Edward Owuor is the founder of the Repentance and Holiness Ministry and one of Kenya’s most prominent religious figures. A former scientist with a PhD in Molecular Genetics, he says he received his divine calling in 2003 and now identifies as “the Mightiest Prophet of Jehovah.” His ministry preaches repentance and holiness, often condemning corruption, immorality, and the prosperity gospel.
Owuor’s ministry is marked by massive rallies, healing services, and dedicated followers, some of whom have been seen cleaning roads before his motorcades. He maintains he does not accept offerings or tithes, though critics frequently question his lavish lifestyle and reliance on state-like security escorts.
Authorities have not yet released an official statement on the breach, but the incident has once again highlighted the deep devotion of his followers and the controversies that continue to surround his public life.
