
Kakamega County Public Service Board has opened 150 job opportunities across 26 different positions, inviting qualified Kenyans to apply before October 10, 2025.
In a notice issued on September 26, the Board stated: “Pursuant to the Constitution of Kenya (2010) and the County Governments Act, No. 17 of 2012, the County Government of Kakamega invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions.”
Most of the opportunities fall under the Department of Health Services, which accounts for 143 of the advertised posts. The Department of Social Services, Youth, Sports, Gender and Culture has three openings, while the Department of Public Service and County Administration has four.

The health sector leads with a wide range of opportunities, including:
Medical Officer – 18
Pharmacist – 3
Dental Officer – 3
Nursing Officer – 6
Medical Laboratory Officer – 6
Nutrition and Dietetics Officer – 4
Pharmaceutical Technologist III – 24
Assistant Health Records & Information Management Officer III – 16
Radiographer III – 2
Mortuary Technician/Mortician II – 5
Other positions include Dental Technologist, Community Oral Health Officer, Clinical Officer, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Orthopaedic Trauma Technologist, Community Health Assistant, Medical Engineering Technologist, and Health Administration roles.
Opportunities in Social Services and County Administration
Outside the health department, Kakamega County is also recruiting for Sports Assistant III and Community Administrator III positions.

The Board has outlined clear application procedures. All applications, except for the Community Administrator post, must be submitted online via the County website at www.kakamega.go.ke. Applicants should navigate to the “Job Offers” section, complete the application form, and submit it before the deadline of Friday, October 10, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.
The Community Administrator position requires manual applications, with detailed submission guidelines provided on the website. The Board has emphasized that emailed applications will not be accepted, stating: “No emailed applications to the Board’s official email will be accepted.”
