Karen Nyamu Hints She Dumped Samidoh as Toxic Love Song Sparks Drama

Nominated senator Karen Nyamu has openly hinted that she was the one who ended her relationship with Mugithi star Samidoh Muchoki, insisting she does not like being controlled. The pair, who parted ways in 2024, had remained largely silent on what led to their split, but Nyamu’s recent remarks have reignited speculation.

Why does Karen Nyamu say she dumped Samidoh?

Responding to fans who claimed she had been dumped, Nyamu pushed back strongly. She said Samidoh even dedicated his track Toxic Love to her, suggesting the song was a reflection of their complicated relationship.

“Me nakaa mtu alikataliwa? Am I the one singing Karen Nyamu’s name in all mugithis every weekend? Ebu enda uskie wimbo inaitwa Toxic Love tena lol. And when a woman has money, the only thing she wants is to be a single mum. Faking happiness in marriage and spreading bitterness on social media on happy women’s pages is not life,” she wrote.

Nyamu emphasized that as a financially independent woman, she prefers single motherhood over what she described as toxic relationships.

What does Samidoh’s ‘Toxic Love’ song reveal?

In the emotional track, Samidoh opens up about struggling to let go of a lover he cherished deeply. “The mother of my kids, you truly loved me. I also loved you from the bottom of my heart. I still have memories of my conversations about our future and that of our kids. I can’t question where you went because I still see you hovering around. Even when I miss you. I maintain my silence… I have developed the desire to walk away from this prison of love,” the lyrics read.

He also references hearing that his lover valued material possessions over his music. “I got wind from your place of work that you said that a guitar is not comparable to a Range Rover. These are true words; nobody detests the fine things in life. In any event, a beautiful girl goes past a poor man’s compound,” he sings.

While Samidoh remains guarded about their split, their lyrics paint a picture of heartbreak and lingering attachment. Nyamu, on the other hand, insists she has moved on and is focused on raising her children independently.
