What Happened at Coldplay’s Concert?
Astronomer CEO Andy Byron found himself at the center of internet drama after a viral video showed him with Kristin Cabot on the kiss cam during a Coldplay concert. When the camera landed on the two, instead of embracing, they appeared flustered, covering their faces in an awkward attempt to dodge the attention. The moment didn’t go unnoticed. One of the Coldplay singers commented mid-show, “Aaaaw, look at these! Alright, are you okay? Either they are having an affair, or they are just shy. I don’t know what to say.”
While they may have hoped to remain anonymous, social media sleuths quickly identified them. Kristin was linked to Byron, who is married to Megan Kerrigan Byron. Megan later reacted by removing her husband’s name from her social media bio and eventually deactivating her Facebook account entirely.

How Has Andy Byron Responded to the Backlash?
In the days following the viral moment, a statement reportedly from Byron began circulating online. He referred to the concert moment as a “nightmare” and issued an apology to his wife, family, and team. The public, however, remains skeptical, with many waiting to see whether his personal or professional life will face further consequences.
What Are People Saying Online?
Reactions online were swift and savage.
@Pipo said, “This is going to be one awkward board meeting, if not a couple of divorces too.”
@K.Mejan added, “I mean, why cheat on your faithful wife, especially if she is more beautiful than the cheating female. I will never get why anyone wants to downgrade.”
Other users weighed in on everything from Coldplay’s singer’s commentary to the odds of getting caught at a concert.
One user, @NoRizzervations, even claimed: “I got fired at Astronomer for dating someone at work. This is insane to me.”
The internet, it seems, won’t be moving on from this scandal anytime soon.
