DJ Xclusive recently shared a humorous account of his experience at a Nairobi event where he observed Kenyan women going out of their way to impress visiting foreign men. Speaking about the incident, the popular entertainer said he attended a polo event that attracted an elite crowd, including several guests from Nigeria.

“I went for Polo over the weekend. They invite Nigerians to come over, wanakuja kucheza na Wakenya, the polo team. And kwa kawaida, kunakwanga na the fashion side of it. Guys come dressed up, after party, and by the way, big shout out to mafans,” DJ Xclusive shared.

He described the gathering as “the high-end Nairobi crowd,” made up of what he called “high rollers, wale watu wanaongea na mapua.” According to him, the event had both social and fashion highlights, drawing people who came to enjoy the game and the after-party atmosphere.

What Happened at the Polo Event?

DJ Xclusive said that during the event, some Kenyan women seemed eager to get the attention of the Nigerian visitors. “There were Nigerians who were there. And as usual, some of the Kenyan ladies who were there were doing the most trying to attract these Nigerian men. They were doing the most,” he said.

He went on to recall a funny incident where he was mistaken for a Nigerian because of his friend’s outfit. “Mimi nimesimama na jamaa wangu, jamaa wa murima, but he is big, he is built vizuri then alikua amevaa hizo Ankara. He looks Nigerian, mpaka ako na cigar ameshika, amevaa hiyo kofia yao, he looked Nigerian kabisa,” DJ Xclusive recounted.

The DJ added that some women, thinking they had met Nigerians, even switched to speaking with Nigerian accents. “They come with that Nigerian pidgin walijifunza kwa zile vipindi huwa wanawatch. At first, they thought both of us were Nigerians,” he said.

However, the moment they realized who he was, the act ended. “Mmoja wao akaakuja nikaskia akisema, huyu si ni Xclusive, imagine they just switched up like ahh kumbe hawa si wa Nigeria. Waliskia wanaongea Kiswahili, and they left. They were on a mission,” he explained.

DJ Xclusive concluded that while some women genuinely attend such high-end gatherings to enjoy themselves, others seem to have specific motives. He noted that this kind of behaviour has become common in Nairobi’s elite social circles, where appearances and impressions often take center stage.
