Kaluma Boy: Bantu Girl Sparks Buzz After Offering to Host and Handle Kaluma Boy’s Money

A female TikToker has stirred controversy after publicly offering to host Kaluma Boy in Nairobi and manage his finances, just days after Kenyans rallied behind the young content creator with overwhelming support.

On September 28, a large group of TikTok creators, celebrities, church leaders, and well-wishers travelled to Chinga village to stand with Kaluma, who has been caring for his father since he suffered a stroke in 2024. The heartfelt fundraiser drew in donations, gifts, and words of encouragement, leaving Kaluma’s family grateful for the national outpouring of kindness.

What Did Bantu Girl Say About Hosting Kaluma Boy?

In a video that quickly gained traction, TikToker Bantu Girl offered to host the young influencer in Nairobi, claiming she had an extra room in her home near the CBD.
“Hello, Kaluma’s family. So, I am making this video, and I am glad for him. I saw that this young man is coming to Nairobi. I wondered why I should not host him, yet I have an extra room. My place is very quiet and conducive, and he will feel at home,” she said.

Bantu Girl added that she was willing to help Kaluma manage his finances. “He deserves to stay here with me. I also saw that he is young and does not know how to manage money. I can help manage his money. I will safely keep his money. We can live together and build together.”

Her comments raised eyebrows online, with many Kenyans questioning her intentions. Responses ranged from sarcasm to outright criticism, with one user writing: “Why can’t you host his father?” while another added, “These people don’t even see that the money is meant for a sick person. In whose hands are we safe?”

Kaluma’s mother took a different tone, choosing gratitude over controversy. She thanked Kenyans for their generosity and shared an emotional backstory about how her son got the phone he uses for content creation. Despite financial struggles, she revealed that Kaluma’s father used part of his tea bonus, while still repaying a loan, to buy him the device.

Although the decision initially worried her, she admitted it turned out to be a blessing, as the phone became the tool that connected her son’s story with millions of compassionate Kenyans.

Kaluma’s journey continues to inspire, but his sudden rise to fame is now sparking heated conversations about generosity, boundaries, and responsibility in Kenya’s online community.
