Lang’ata Member of Parliament Felix Odiwuor, popularly known as Jalang’o, has been linked online to allegations of financing influencer Mjaka Mfine’s lavish lifestyle using public funds.
The claims surfaced on TikTok after Mjaka Mfine reportedly lost her expensive iPhone during a JKUAT concert, where she was seen partying. A mother later came forward, alleging that Jalang’o personally called her and threatened to have her son arrested for stealing the device. According to the mother, Jalang’o insisted that he had bought the pricey iPhone for Mjaka Mfine, only for it to be taken during the event.

Following the incident, discussions across TikTok and other platforms intensified, with users suggesting that the MP could be the one “funding” Mjaka Mfine’s lifestyle. Many critics connected the dots between the alleged threats and the public display of wealth associated with the influencer, fueling speculation that taxpayers’ money may be at the center of the controversy.
The distressed mother further stated that threats from Jalang’o and other powerful figures had left her living in fear, given his political connections. This detail sparked even more heated debate among Kenyans online, who openly questioned the source of Mjaka Mfine’s financial support.
While Jalang’o has released no official statement regarding the matter, the story continues to trend online, drawing widespread attention from both supporters and critics.
