Gloria Ntazola has offered a grounded and compassionate message to Kenyans facing financial strain during the Christmas season, choosing honesty and reassurance over pressure and comparison. Speaking directly to followers through her official Instagram account on Thursday, December 25, 2025, the social media influencer and entrepreneur reminded people that expensive celebrations are not a measure of success or worth.

She acknowledged the silent struggle many experience during the holidays, especially when expectations are high and resources are limited. Ntazola emphasized that life and health matter more than material displays, encouraging Kenyans to be gentle with themselves during difficult moments.

“Hey, if you don’t have money for Christmas, you need to understand it’s very much okay. You did well; you are alive, being alive and healthy is such a flex,” Ntazola said.

Her message resonated widely because it spoke to reality rather than idealized festive images often shared online. She urged people to reflect on what they still have, rather than what they lack, pointing out that many families are grieving loved ones or dealing with illness during the same season.

“There are so many loved ones we lost through death; some are stuck at the hospital with no hope just waiting on God in a sick bed,” she added.

Ntazola encouraged simple acts that nurture hope, including sharing a modest meal, attending church, and expressing gratitude. She framed gratitude not as denial of hardship, but as a way to build emotional strength for the future.

“You are not sick, you are not dead. In 2026 will try to walk the journey again, so go out, get something little to eat and go to church tell God you are grateful
Good things will happen to you, and God loves you.”

Her message offered reassurance without judgment, especially for young adults navigating unemployment, rising living costs, and social pressure during the festive season.

How leaders are urging kindness and unity this festive season

Ntazola’s sentiments were echoed by national leaders who also called for compassion and community support. Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua urged Kenyans to prioritize kindness and ensure that no one around them goes hungry during the holidays.

In a video shared on his wife Pastor Dorcas Rigathi’s Instagram account on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, Gachagua appealed for peace, togetherness, and generosity during the festive period.

“Dear Kenyans, on this festive season, my family and I wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year 2026,” Gachagua said.

He acknowledged the economic strain many households are facing and asked those with means to look out for their neighbours.

“During the festive season, I call on you all to be peaceful and celebrate with your family, neighbours and friends. We know times are hard; please do not let your neighbour go without food.”

Reflecting on the year, Gachagua noted that 2025 brought both progress and challenges for the country, while emphasizing gratitude for resilience and faith.

“The year 2025 has been eventful to our nation; there were many blessings to our family and many challenges as well. Despite the challenges, God has been gracious to our nation,” he said.

He also reminded Kenyans travelling during the holidays to prioritize safety.

“Those travelling upcountry, take care and be safe,” he added.

Together, the messages from Ntazola and Gachagua highlighted a shared call for empathy, patience, and realism. In a season often defined by excess, their words encouraged Kenyans to value life, community, and hope, even when celebration looks simple or quiet.
