Nairobi nightlife is about to take on a spiritual twist as Anglican priest Padre Michael Watenga, popularly known as Padre wa Wote, announces his upcoming visit to the capital. Taking to his TikTok account on Thursday, December 4, 2025, Watenga revealed that he will be in Nairobi starting December 8 and called on locals, including nightclub owners, to extend invitations for him to preach.
“God is good and all the time. Padre wa wote, Padre Michael Watenga here. I have received invitations from different places, but from December 1, I will be in Nairobi. Watu wa Nairobi, you can invite me if you need my presence, nikuje ili nipige injili,” he stated.
How Will Padre Watenga’s Nightclub Visits Work?
Known for his unconventional evangelism, Padre Watenga has previously preached in clubs and pubs in Eldoret, bringing spirituality closer to the youth and nightlife crowd. His nightclub visits are not random; he has practical conditions to ensure smooth logistics. “Nimepata invitation from Kisii, Mombasa, Kisumu, na Nakuru, but of course ukini invite unafaa ujue nitakufikia aje like fuel, accommodation na security; those are my only conditions,” he explained.
In Eldoret, Padre Watenga has visited several popular night spots, including Timba XO Club owned by Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi. He emphasized that before launching his nightlife outreach, he sought permission from his church superiors and intends to expand his gospel mission to other major towns.

Why Is Padre Watenga Visiting Nightclubs?
Padre Watenga’s goal is simple: preach the gospel, offer prayers, and bless people regardless of their lifestyle. “Nyinyi ni watu wa maana, you are an important person. Drunkers are human beings, too. This gospel should go deeper than a bottle of alcohol. It should reach their hearts and transform their lives. I do not judge. Even Jesus did not judge. I meet everyone; I mingle with them. I will start going from Nairobi, Nakuru, Kisumu, and all over,” he said.
Padre Watenga’s initiative highlights a unique blend of faith and modern outreach, aiming to connect with Kenyans where they are, even in nightlife spaces. His message reinforces the idea that spiritual guidance can reach every corner of society, bringing hope, blessings, and prayers to those often overlooked.
