Mungai Eve has hit back at her ex, Director Trevor, after he publicly advised her to apologise to Kenyans for past remarks that continue to draw criticism online.
What did Mungai Eve say in response?
Taking to social media, Eve posted a vacation video from an undisclosed exotic location with a caption that many interpreted as a direct response to Trevor’s comments.
“Me to that one guy who keeps dragging my name into nonsense, forgetting we both know the truth. Don’t mistake my silence for weakness, I got receipts,” she wrote, hinting at possible revelations.
The clip also featured a sound bite in the background that said: “You don’t listen, one day… continue calling me baby.” The bold post immediately sparked conversations online, with fans speculating that the “receipts” Eve mentioned were directed at Trevor.
What did Director Trevor say about Mungai Eve?
Trevor recently addressed speculation surrounding Eve’s mental health and claims that she regrets ending their relationship. In an interview with IQ Watson, he dismissed reports that Eve was depressed but said Kenyans were punishing her for projecting superiority in past comments, particularly her viral statement about not dating a man earning less than KSh 500,000.
He advised, “If she wants to ease the public criticism, she should apologise to Kenyans.”
Eve, however, has previously dismissed claims of depression and regret, describing them as a “driven narrative” and insisting that she is fine.

Eve’s bold clapback quickly ignited social media reactions, with fans offering mixed opinions. Some encouraged her to ignore Trevor, while others demanded she reveal the “receipts.”
