Sanapei Tande Says She Still Talks to Her Exes: ‘Life Is Short, No Hard Feelings’

Celebrated Kenyan singer and actress Sanapei Tande has sparked conversation online after revealing that she still maintains communication with her ex-boyfriends. In a candid interview with Dr. Ofweneke, the Amina hitmaker shared her views on breakups and why she doesn’t see the need for bitterness after relationships end.

Why Does Sanapei Still Talk to Her Exes?

Sanapei explained that breakups don’t always have to be messy or hostile. “Why are we angry? Why are we angry? It just didn’t work. That is so much nonsense, I think so. I mean, unless you were with somebody who used to beat you a good one, or bring other ladies or men to the house. I mean, unless it was something that extreme, I don’t see any reason why you should not have a cordial relationship with your ex,” she said.

She emphasized that unless abuse or betrayal was involved, there’s no reason not to be on good terms with a former partner. “Life is short. No hard feelings. Keep moving,” she added, encouraging others to embrace maturity and peace after relationships end.

Should You Help Your Ex Move On?

In a light-hearted moment, Sanapei suggested that women can even help their exes find new partners. “If anything, find him a chile (lady),” she said, adding that she would give her honest opinion if asked about a woman her ex was interested in. “If the X is asking me, what do you think about that chile? I will be honest with you,” she stated.

Why She Won’t Play Matchmaker

However, Sanapei drew the line at matchmaking. “The one thing I don’t do, honestly, I don’t hook people up. That one. I do not want to be caught in the middle of nonsense,” she said. She explained that she wants no part in potential drama, adding with a laugh, “I don’t want this business of calling me for an hour to complain about someone.”

Her honesty sparked reactions from fans across social media. Some praised her maturity, while others disagreed entirely. One user wrote, “If you still communicate with exes, you are not happy,” while another said, “I support her! Your ex is not your enemy!”
