Where Did Margaret Kenyatta Appear and What Was the Occasion?

Former First Lady Margaret Kenyatta made a rare public appearance on July 11 during a graduation ceremony at Amref International University (AMIU), located within the Kenyatta family’s Northlands property. This marked one of her first major public outings since stepping back from the spotlight following former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s departure from office.

Margaret stepped onto the scene in a flowing black and white outfit, accessorized with modest jewelry and her trademark short silver-streaked hair. Her dignified entrance quickly drew attention. At one point, she was draped in a Maasai shuka, embracing the event’s cultural theme and adding a touch of heritage to her appearance. She also officially launched AMIU’s prestigious Northlands Campus and addressed graduates with a heartfelt message encouraging them to take charge of their future with confidence and purpose.
