Why were Gidi and Ghost ranked the most popular?
Radio Jambo’s Gidi Gidi and Jacob “Ghost” Mulee have officially been crowned Kenya’s most-loved radio presenters, according to a recent InfoTrak survey. The Nairobi-based research firm based its rankings on key indicators such as audience reach, relatability, entertainment value, and public influence. Gidi and Ghost stood out particularly among listeners aged 25 to 45, with their engaging morning show taking the top spot.

The duo’s chemistry, consistency, and connection with everyday Kenyans have played a huge role in their popularity. Their show runs from Monday to Friday on Radio Jambo and features the widely followed segment Patanisho, which has become a staple for morning radio audiences.

What makes Patanisho such a hit with listeners?
Patanisho is an interactive segment where Gidi and Ghost act as mediators between estranged partners, often ex-couples seeking reconciliation. The segment allows each party to share their side of the story, sometimes revealing raw emotions, misunderstandings, or simply moments of reflection. It’s this emotional honesty and the humorous yet respectful approach of the hosts that make the show stand out.

In a post celebrating the achievement, Gidi shared his appreciation with fans: “Ahsante sana Mashabik kwa upendo wenyu, tutaendelea kuwaburudisha, kuwafahamisha na kuwaelimisha. God bless.”

Who else made it to the top of the radio presenter list?
Following Gidi and Ghost in the rankings was Classic FM’s Maina Kageni, who secured the second position. Other top names included Radio 47’s Alex Mwakideu, sports commentator Fred Arocho, gospel presenter Eva Mwalili, Jeff Kuria, and Radio Citizen’s Melody Sinzore.

Fans across the country continue to celebrate the recognition of Gidi and Ghost.

One Instagram user, @nyasuba_lando_lando, commented, “Patanisho lazima kama ibada. Kwanza leo huyo gen z ameringa sana.
