Kenyan comedian Mulamwah is once again trending, this time for accusing his ex-girlfriend Ruth K of distributing his intimate photos via WhatsApp. What initially seemed like a peaceful breakup quickly escalated into a heated public fallout on social media.
Mulamwah, whose real name is David Oyando, claimed that Ruth shared his explicit pictures in a WhatsApp group that allegedly included 85 women. According to him, she not only exposed his private images but also implied that he was HIV positive, a claim he says caused unnecessary panic and emotional stress.
Ruth K later acknowledged that she had shared one of Mulamwah’s private images and issued an apology through her Instagram stories. Despite this, Mulamwah launched a personal campaign against her, stating that she had crossed a line. He went as far as sending Ruth’s private videos to members of her family as retaliation.
In an angry online rant, Mulamwah said, “Ruth, 9pm is pm, no backing off. You circulated my pictures and videos in groups. The ladies were so mature none shared them. I told them to go get tested for HIV. Do you know the kind of panic that causes?”

He accused Ruth of fabricating messages involving other women and warned her that he would continue to expose her unless she took responsibility.
He even posted a clear version of the same image she had leaked and claimed he would upload it to their son’s Instagram page, which led to a backlash from a section of Kenyans who felt he had gone too far. Many criticized him for using their child’s platform to settle personal scores.
To add to the chaos, Mulamwah asked Ruth to return dental work he allegedly paid for, further intensifying the public spat.
