Kenyan musician Bahati has stepped into the heated conflict between comedian Mulamwah and his ex-partner Ruth K, urging both to take a step back and consider their son’s well-being. The public fallout between the two has taken a troubling turn, drawing widespread concern and mixed reactions across social media.
In a heartfelt message shared online, Bahati appealed to both parents to put their differences aside for the sake of their child. “I rarely comment on other people’s matters,”
Bahati wrote, “But there’s no joy in seeing families break down. I ask Kenyans to pray for this young couple. May God bring healing, peace, and protection to the innocent child caught in the middle of this drama.”
Addressing them directly, Bahati asked Mulamwah and Ruth to take their issues off social media. “It’s painful to watch, but I believe things can get better. In Jesus’ name,” he added. Quoting James 1:20, Bahati reminded them, “The anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.”
The message quickly went viral, with Kenyans weighing in. Some praised Bahati for his maturity, while others felt the situation had already spiraled too far. One user wrote, “Whoever is posting from their son’s page needs to grow up. This is unacceptable.” Another added, “Mulamwah needs counseling. He looks like he’s slipping into depression.”

The drama intensified after Mulamwah allegedly sent Ruth’s private photos to her own family, then posted them online. Ruth later confirmed that she had previously shared intimate content with Mulamwah but said she had no intention of retaliating, even though she has similar material of him. “My son is my reason to stay calm and protect my peace,” she stated.
