Harambee Stars fans can now cheer on their team in style without breaking the bank. Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has announced a major price cut on official replica jerseys ahead of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), which kicks off this weekend across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
How Much Will the New Jerseys Cost?
FKF President Hussein Mohammed confirmed on Thursday that the jerseys will now retail at Ksh 1,500, down from the previous Ksh 2,500. “I am happy to announce that following requests from Kenyans, we will subsidize the costs of Harambee Stars replica kits from the previous price of Ksh 2,500,” he said. The offer is valid until August 7 and is available while stocks last.
Fans can purchase the jerseys online through the East West Fashions website or physically at Sonalux House on Moi Avenue in Nairobi.
Where and When Is Kenya Playing?
The Harambee Stars will make their CHAN debut against DR Congo at Kasarani Stadium on Sunday at 3 PM. Mohammed called on fans to fill the stadium with a wave of national pride. “We call on all Kenyans who have already purchased tickets and come and fill Kasarani to the rafters,” he said.
For those unable to attend in person, watching the game from home was also encouraged as a show of support.
Why Should Fans Watch More Than Just Kenya?
In a strong show of Pan-African unity, FKF urged Kenyans to watch and support not only Kenya’s matches but also other Group A fixtures taking place in the country. “We are Pan Africanists and so we encourage you to not only watch Kenya’s games but all the other matches,” said Mohammed.
The CHAN tournament offers a unique opportunity to experience the best of African football, and FKF is counting on fans to turn up in full force.
