Kevin De Bruyne is officially joining Napoli, with the final approval now confirmed. The Belgian midfielder is set to undergo his medical on Thursday before signing a two-year contract with an option for a third. Napoli, the reigning Serie A champions, have secured one of the biggest signings of the summer as they strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
De Bruyne brings a wealth of experience, creativity, and leadership to the Italian side. Widely regarded as one of the best midfielders in the world, the 32-year-old leaves Manchester City after nearly a decade of success under Pep Guardiola. During his time in England, he won five Premier League titles, two FA Cups, five Carabao Cups, and the UEFA Champions League. Individually, he was named Premier League Player of the Season and earned multiple inclusions in the PFA Team of the Year.

His passing range, vision, and ability to control games from midfield have been key to City’s dominance both domestically and in Europe. De Bruyne also played a central role in Belgium’s golden generation, earning over 100 caps for his country and helping them to a third-place finish at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Napoli are counting on De Bruyne to bring that same influence to Serie A and beyond. His presence will raise the club’s technical level and provide a creative engine in the middle of the pitch. As the team looks to defend its league title and make a deeper push in the Champions League, De Bruyne’s experience and quality will be vital.
