Celestine “Wakavinye” Ndinda is a name many Kenyans know. From behind-the-scenes camera work to becoming a strong digital voice, she has built a solid brand. Now, with news of her separation from comedian Timothy “Njugush” Kimani, many are curious about her journey and what lies ahead.

From Mathare to the Spotlight — How Did It All Start?

Celestine was born on December 3, 1992, in Mathare and raised in Githurai. She grew up in a simple setting and later joined the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication. This is where she met Njugush, a moment that would shape both her personal and career life.

At first, she worked behind the scenes. Around 2020, she started helping Njugush record content. Fans became curious about the woman behind the camera. That curiosity slowly pushed her into the spotlight.

Her content grew fast. She explored comedy, lifestyle, travel, and even social commentary. Today, she is not just known as Njugush’s partner but as a creator with her own voice. Her YouTube channel has passed 150,000 subscribers, showing her steady growth.

Love, Family, and the Unexpected Turn

Celestine and Njugush got married on December 16, 2016, in Runda. Their love story was admired by many online. Over the years, they built a brand together and shared parts of their family life with fans.

They have two sons. Their firstborn, Tugi, arrived in 2018. Their second son, Toria, was born in August 2022.

In May 2026, Njugush confirmed that they had separated. The news came after months of online speculation. He shared that the decision was mutual and made with respect. He also made it clear that they are focused on co-parenting and supporting each other.

For many fans, this was unexpected. The two had built a strong public image together under Njugush Creatives.

Big Moves, Big Wins — What Has She Built?

Celestine’s journey is not just about her relationship. She has created her own lane in the digital space.

One of her biggest projects is the “Through Thick and Thin” show. This is a Valentine’s series she co-produced with Njugush. The event has grown over the years and consistently sells out. The fifth edition pulled a crowd of about 6,000 people, setting a new mark in Kenya’s live comedy scene. The next show is set for August 8, 2026.

She has also made major personal milestones. Her first car was a Toyota Vitz, which inspired her nickname Wakavinye. Later, in September 2023, she bought a Range Rover Evoque, calling it a dream come true.

Together with Njugush, they bought land in Ruiru in 2017. By December 2019, they had moved into their mansion, even before it was fully complete. The house became their family home over the years.

Celestine Ndinda remains one of Kenya’s strong digital creators. Her journey shows growth, change, and resilience. Even with the new chapter in her personal life, her influence in the entertainment space is still strong. Fans will be watching to see what she does next.
