Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s body will not be taken to his Karen home for a night vigil as earlier planned. The change was confirmed by Philip Etale, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) communication director, who explained that the new arrangements were made due to “unavoidable circumstances.”

Initially, plans indicated that the body would be taken to Raila’s Karen residence for an overnight vigil before being airlifted to Kisumu for burial preparations. However, the schedule was revised on Friday, October 17, following new directions from the National Funeral Committee.
