Content creator Gloria Ntazola’s brother, Martin, has taken a significant step forward after securing a job just days after publicly apologising to his family during a heated and widely discussed dispute. His apology came after he went viral last week, claiming he had been abandoned and was homeless. In an online interview, he expressed remorse for his past behaviour, saying, “Mimi naweza sema nimewacost sana… naomba msamaha,” and added that he was ready to take any job that would help him rebuild his life.
His willingness to take responsibility opened a new chapter for him. Shortly after the apology, Martin received a job offer, marking the beginning of what he hopes will be a fresh start. In a video posted on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, social media personality Obidan Dela announced that he had offered Martin employment after hearing his plea for change. “So guys are niko na Martin hapa aliomba kazi natumepata kazi hapa mara mall martin anakuja kuanza kuuza manguo”, Obidan said. The offer placed Martin at a clothing store where he is set to begin selling clothes and working toward steady income.
In the same video, Martin expressed gratitude and confidence that he is committed to reform. “Eh, eh, mimi ni me reform, niko fiti,” he said. He also appealed to Gloria to support his new start by promoting his work and even purchasing from him. “Masiz wakuje wabuy ehh nataka hao sasa wakuje wanipromote”, he added.
Why Does Tension Between Gloria and Martin Continue?
The update on Martin’s job comes while tensions between the siblings remain high. Gloria has made it clear that she will no longer offer financial or emotional support, despite public pressure asking her to help. Her response to critics was direct: “Go and adopt him if you feel you are in a place to help. I’m not helping.”
She also rejected claims that Martin was homeless, stating that he has a stable home and a family. “That boy has home, he has parents, and he’s got hands to work,” she said. Gloria described years of supporting him through various challenges, including paying school fees, covering rent, funding rehabilitation programs and even selling her car to assist in his recovery. According to her, the issue has never been a lack of help but Martin’s refusal to maintain consistency and responsibility.

What Led to the Breaking Point in the Siblings’ Relationship?
Gloria explained that Martin’s struggles began early in life and worsened during high school. She spoke of behavioural issues that involved drugs and school fights that eventually led to his expulsion. To help him get back on track, she moved him to Nairobi, secured housing and provided weekly provisions. Despite her efforts, she said he repeatedly disregarded opportunities and continued down a difficult path.
The turning point came when Martin reportedly assaulted their mother, an incident she described as beyond forgiveness. “He put his hands on my mom. He beat my mother. You don’t beat your mother,” she said. This, she noted, was the moment she decided to end her long history of trying to rescue him. Gloria concluded, “Because for a very long time I tolerated a lot. But this time, I’m done.”
Martin’s new job has sparked conversations online about second chances, accountability and family boundaries. His supporters hope he will use this opportunity to rebuild his life, while Gloria maintains that stability begins with personal responsibility.
