Pauline Njoroge Mocks Ruto: Ukambani Will Enter Heaven First

What Did President Ruto Say About Ukambani?
Jubilee Party Deputy Organising Secretary Pauline Njoroge has poked fun at President William Ruto over his recent remarks about heaven. On Thursday, November 13, 2025, Njoroge used her verified Facebook account to mock the President after he claimed that the people of Ukambani would be the first to enter heaven. She wrote, “St. Peter has gotten a spokesperson for Pearly Gates affairs. I wonder what the Vatican has to say about this new development. Never a dull day in Kenya.”

President Ruto made the original comments while addressing residents in Kitui County. He praised the region, saying, “Sikizeni nyinyi watu wa Ukambani… the people of Ukambani are the best people… Kama kuna watu watatangulia mbinguni ni watu wa Ukambani.” He assured residents that Ukambani, long overlooked, would now be fully included in his administration’s plans, both politically and in development projects. He emphasised that the region would no longer operate from the sidelines and would play an active role in forming the next government.

How Did Pauline Njoroge Respond?
Njoroge’s sharp, humorous rebuttal quickly went viral across social media. Many Kenyans found her take on Ruto’s spiritual remarks amusing, using it as a moment to debate and joke about the President’s statement. Her comments underscore a growing public scrutiny of Ruto’s domestic travels and statements, with critics questioning whether his promises translate into concrete actions for regions like Ukambani.

Despite the jokes and debates, President Ruto insisted that Ukambani would remain central to his 2027 plans. He noted that the region has suffered neglect for too long and stated, “With God’s guidance, Ukambani will remain on the right side of government.” The remarks continue to spark conversations online, blending political commentary with humor, as Kenyans weigh the significance of the President’s spiritual and developmental promises.

The viral exchange between Ruto and Njoroge highlights the intersection of politics, regional pride, and social media influence in Kenya’s current political landscape.
