Diamond Platnumz and Mbosso have ignited drama online after a heated clash on Instagram over the ownership of the melody behind Mbosso’s viral hit Pawa. The feud began when Diamond’s close associate Baba Levo stirred controversy by claiming that Diamond deserved half the credit for the song. In his comment, Baba Levo boldly wrote, “Tupe melodi yetu.”

What Sparked the Diamond–Mbosso Fallout?
According to Baba Levo, Diamond provided the core melody for Pawa and therefore should be recognized for 50% of the work. His remarks immediately triggered a wave of reactions from fans and artists, with many demanding clarity. Mbosso did not hesitate to clap back, insisting he wrote the entire track and that Diamond’s input was minimal.
Mbosso emphasized that he has also supported Diamond with his music before but never once demanded credit. He questioned why his creativity was suddenly being downplayed.
How Successful Has Pawa Been?
The track has quickly grown into one of Mbosso’s biggest hits. Within just one month of its release, Pawa has already racked up over 24 million YouTube views, cementing its place as a viral success. This success has only fueled debates about whether Diamond deserves recognition for his alleged role in shaping the melody.

What Did Diamond and Mbosso Say?
Despite the back-and-forth, Mbosso tried to keep his respect for Diamond intact. On Instagram Stories, he wrote: “Heshima yangu kwako ni mpaka siku nakufa.” However, he made it clear that he would not take responsibility for Baba Levo’s statements.
Diamond later addressed the matter, urging Mbosso not to involve him in unnecessary drama. He stated that he had no issue with Mbosso’s reaction but called Baba Levo’s comments “nonsense.” He also reminded Mbosso that they had previously spoken about similar issues and advised him to always remain truthful while maintaining mutual respect.
