Thomas Partey Could Leave Arsenal on a Free Transfer as Contract Talks Stall

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey may be heading for an exit, with no new contract agreed as of mid-June. After several rounds of discussions, the club and player have yet to reach an agreement, opening the door for Partey to leave as a free agent once his current deal expires.

Partey has played a crucial role in Mikel Arteta’s system when fit. Known for his ability to control the midfield, break up play, and transition the ball quickly, his presence has often provided balance and stability to Arsenal’s spine. While injuries have disrupted parts of his time at the Emirates, his quality has never been in question.

Thomas Partey was also named Ghana Footballer of the Year for the third time, solidifying his place as one of the country’s most celebrated players. In addition to the prestigious individual award, his foundation was also honored with the “Football for Good” award, recognizing its efforts to create a positive social impact.

Partey took to social media to share his appreciation, saying, “I’m honored to receive the Ghana Footballer of the Year Award for the third time. And to my foundation on winning the ‘Football for Good’ award, this is a testament to the impact we seek to make in our society.”

With the uncertainty around his future, several clubs are now monitoring the situation closely.
